Take turns dropping a disc into any column. It falls straight down to the lowest empty slot — you never choose the row, only the column.
A dropped disc falls straight down and settles on top of whatever is already in that column.
Four in a row wins — across, up-and-down, or either diagonal all count.
- A full column can't take another disc — pick a different one.
- Board and target both change with the room settings: a wider 9×7 board, or Connect 5 for a longer race.
- If the whole board fills with nobody connecting, it's a draw.
